After several years of testing in the framework of the research project Optimod’Lyon, the goal was to improve traffic flow Urban, Renault Trucks presented the preliminary version of an application intended for drivers of heavy vehicles that perform distribution Urban.<\/h2>\n

The purpose of this application is to provide traffic information in real time and predictive manner, and driving tips to minimize the economic impact of trucks on urban traffic.<\/p>\n

As a project partner, Renault Trucks has created from its GPS application especially for heavy vehicles, a new application that is named SmartFreight, still in preliminary stages. The aim is to help the driver choose the route from city data obtained by vehicle<\/p>\n

Renault Trucks has tested two modules. The first module is an aid to driving that analyzes real-time habits of the driver at the wheel of his truck, advises how to improve them and may even provide a summary at the end of each journey. The second is an advanced navigation module that allows the driver to see the traffic to your smartphone in real time or at a specific time, areas of work that may hinder their journey or even location availability and delivery sites.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
